About FEBC Russian Ministries

FEBC —  Far East Broadcasting Company was established by Dr. Robert H. Bowman in 1945. For more than 55 years FEBC has labored to be what Billy Graham calls "One of the most effective and consistent voices in evangelical Christianity in the entire world."

The Russian division is a vital part of the overall ministry. FEBC has been broadcasting the gospel to Russia since the late 1940s. In February 1992, after the fall of communism, FEBC was incorporated in Russia, expanding its broadcast ministry within the country.

FEBC Russian Ministries is ministering in several Russian cities: Khabarovsk, Novosibirsk, Kazan, St. Petersburg, and Moscow; and in two Ukrainian cities: Slavyansk and Chernovtsy. FEBC-Russia's two most powerful and popular stations are in Moscow, AM 1134, and in St. Petersburg, AM 1089. FEBC Russian Ministries also continues its broadcasts from a 100 kWt short-wave transmitter on Saipan, an island in the Marianas archipelago in the South Pacific. The signal from Saipan covers the entire area of the former Soviet Union, bringing the Good News to multitudes that live there.

FEBC's long-term goal is to take Christ to all of Russia by radio, through local, national, and international broadcasts. It includes the production of quality Christian programming, assisting other ministries in Russian program production, and building recording studios and stations across the C.I.S. for local broadcasts. The short-term objective is to train Russian Christians living in the country on how to prepare gospel programs for their countrymen. This includes seminars on programming and the financial and technical support needed for the development of a Christian radio ministry.

FEBC Russian Ministries is maintained by the gifts of individuals, churches, and organizations who believe that radio is a powerful tool to reach many people with the gospel of Jesus Christ in Russia and other areas in the world. You can become a "radio missionary" and have a part in introducing the Lord to people who may never have another way of meeting Him, and you won't have to leave home to do it! Help us change these precious lives by supporting the work of FEBC Russian Ministries. Your prayers — and your gifts — will put you on the front lines of evangelism. And isn't that where Jesus has called each one of us to be?
